How your Website Can Solve Business Problems (& Help you Book More Clients)

Introduction

One reason I started my website business is because I love helping fellow therapist & coaches solve problems.

After all, a good website is not just meant to look pretty — it’s the center of your entire marketing ecosystem. Its purpose is to convey the value of your services to prospective clients, so that you don’t have to constantly hand out flyers or be on every social media platform at once.

The way your website is designed, written, and optimized for search engines can make the difference between:

feeling stuck & frustrated in your marketing 🔥

vs.

receiving a consistent flow of client inquiries that lead to right-fit clients & a sustainable practice 🪴

Here are some examples of how a website can solve challenges in your business (or show you what the next step is):

PROBLEM #1:

🔍 If you’re not receiving enough client inquiries, and your website is barely getting any clicks — one problem is that your business is not visible enough right now.

💡 To solve this problem, I’d look into improving SEO of your website (Search Engine Optimization).

(To learn more, check out this previous newsletter: How to Get Found by Clients on Google: Let’s Demystify SEO)

If SEO is not your thing, don’t worry. Your website can gain visibility through lots of other means — like intentional networking, podcast guest interviews, consistent posting on social media, Facebook referral groups, directories like Psychology Today, and anything else that gets your name & voice in front of your ideal audience.

PROBLEM #2:

🔍 If you’re not receiving enough client inquiries, and your website is actually getting lots of clicks – the problem might not be lack of visibility, but rather that the people landing on your website aren’t your ideal clients.

For example, if I published a blog post on a popular topic (like “best restaurants in Santa Fe, New Mexico”), that might bring clicks to my website — but if the blog post is not relevant to the services I offer, then those clicks won’t convert into clients.

💡 To solve this problem, I would get curious about how to bring the right traffic to your website.

PROBLEM #3:

🔍 If you’re receiving inquiries, but they’re not converting into paying clients — the problem might be that people don’t understand the value of your services. People invest in services when they believe it’ll genuinely help them & that you’re the exact right person to help them.

💡 To solve this problem, I would audit the copywriting & design of the website to make sure the messaging is clear, that your words are compelling (and sound like you), and that the design evokes the energy you want clients to feel (hopeful, inspired, calm, confident?).

Does this all make sense?

Your website can unlock so much information about what’s working in your marketing, and what needs work.

Identifying the problem in your business isn’t meant to feel discouraging. In fact, quite the opposite. When we understand what the problem is, we can start asking the right questions.

Instead of: “why isn’t my marketing working?” (a big, vague question), we can narrow it down to:

🔍 “What would make it easier for my ideal clients to find me online?”

or

🔍 “How can I better convey the value of my services via the text & design on my website?”

I hope this is helpful for you, wherever you are in your business & website journey.

When it comes to business marketing, no problem is unsolvable. We just have to be creative. You got this!
